Study the science of matter and its transformations—from the rocks that make up our planet to the nuclear reactions that power our sun. Chemistry is often described as the central science because it connects the physical, biological, natural and applied sciences. To understand fundamental concepts of nearly all other scientific disciplines, you must have a good working knowledge of chemistry.
This is a hands-on science. More than lectures and coursework, our program teaches you to get familiar with equipment and instrumentation. YHC’s small classes and labs are led by seasoned professors日本一本道a不卡免费, not teaching assistants, so you’ll have the expertise and one-on-one instruction you deserve. And with an extensive and diverse chemistry curriculum, career options for our graduates are practically endless—from restoring art or developing a perfume to practicing environmental law or studying energy sources.
YHC’s Chemistry Club is affiliated with the American Chemical Society so you have constant opportunities to connect, learn and share nationwide. You can also take advantage of student research and special projects to put your skills to the test, and take advantage of opportunities to present findings at conferences and meetings.
日本一本道a不卡免费The minor in Chemistry allows students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in disciplines other than Chemistry to engage in focused and in-depth study of the subject. For instance, a Biology major who wishes to enter the field of biochemistry, environmental toxicology, or plant or animal physiology would benefit greatly by having the added experience associated with a chemistry minor. In addition, a strong chemistry background is also looked upon favorably in many professional programs, such as Medicine & Dentistry, as well as other graduate programs. A chemistry minor can be used to complement any bachelor’s degrees, even those not associated with science.
日本一本道a不卡免费 A student who pursues a minor in chemistry will learn creative problem-solving and critical thinking as it pertains to the discipline of chemistry. The use of instrumentation and technology in chemistry provides valuable skills essential to a variety of professions, since a good background in chemistry is essential in understanding the world around us.
